Fantastic job calling and emailing yesterday! Today's action alert is about SB 177. The education committee is much smaller so today's task is very easy. It should only take a few minutes of your time. If you were not able to call and email yesterday click here for the action alert, you can still get it done today.
Support SB 177 (Sen Dahm) - This bill requires school districts to notify parents of the ability to opt out of vaccines when schools communicate with them on this topic. Right now many school districts make it sound through their correspondence that vaccines are required or their kids can't attend.
Status- Assigned to the Senate Education Committee and expected to be heard Monday 2/27 at 9:00 AM in room 535.
Action- Call and email the following legislators and ask them to support SB 177. Join us on Monday for the meeting.
During your call say " I am calling to ask that Senator ________________ Please support SB 177. It will be heard Monday in the Education committee. Thank you!"

Please copy and paste the following block of emails in the 'cc' field of your email. Write 'Please Support SB 177' into the subject line. Keep the email short and sweet and let legislators know that SB 177 is a common sense bill that asks schools to inform parents of the full vaccine law rather than misleading them to believe that exemptions are not an option.
